Day 1: Bucharest Sightseeing Tour

The first great attraction is the Parliament Palace which is the largest administrative building in Europe, according to Guinness World Records. Former known as “The House of the People”, it became a landmark of the city and one of the best Romania tourist attractions.

Heading towards the Arch of Triumph, built in the memory of soldiers killed on duty in the First World War, our trip continues among the traditional houses of the Village Museum where we can discover the history of the rural life of the Romanian people.

The medieval tour of Wallachia

Day 2: Bucharest – Targoviste – Curtea de Arges – Sibiu

A Romania medieval tour should include Targoviste, the former capital of Wallachia. Here you can see the Princely Court and the Sunset (Chindiei) Tower built during the rule of Vlad the Impaler, known as Dracula. Talking about the feared ruler, we are going to see the Poenari Fortress, the real Vlad Dracula ‘s castle, located at 25 km distance of the legendary Curtea de Arges Monastery.

After we admire the Olt Valley in all its splendor, we will visit the Cozia Monastery, another old monastic sanctuary for over 600 years built by the grandfather of Vlad the Impaler.

The night will be spent in Sibiu, one of the beautiful places to visit in Romania.

Enjoy the medieval tour of Transylvania

Day 3: Sibiu – Hartibaciu Valley – Biertan – Sighisoara

The European Capital of Culture in 2007, Sibiu pleases the eye of any visitor. A walk through this medieval city with colorful houses and narrow streets is going to be a relaxing tour. From Sibiu we will pass through the Hartibaciu Valley with its pastoral landscape just to discover the fortified church of Biertan, included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage.
In a short time we will arrive at the medieval city of Sighisoara, the place where the legendary Dracula was born in 1431.The Clock Tower, the Scholars’ Stairs and the Venetian House are only a few of the arhitectural jewels that we will admire in the old city of Sighisoara.

Day 4: Sighisoara – Viscri – Brasov
After a short walk in Sighisoara, our medieval tour through Transylvania continues by exploring the Viscri Village, which has became one of the most visited Romania tourist attractions since Prince Charles of Wales bought a house in this place which seems to be forgotten in medieval times.

The next stops will be in the Bran Village to visit the famous Bran Castle (Dracula`s Castle) and in the city of Brasov, one of the oldest in Europe, known as a powerful fortress in the past.

Day 5: Brasov – Sinaia Resort – Peles Castle – Bucharest
A tour in Brasov includes the Town Hall Square, the medieval bastions and the Black Church, the largest gothic church in Romania. The last town we are going to visit in our medieval tour of Romania on the way back to Bucharest is Sinaia, a mountain resort where we can admire the Peles Castle.
